YSR Law Nestham Sarkari Yojana – MyScheme

A monthly stipend of 5,000 is given to junior attorneys under the “YSR Law Nestham” program, which the Law Department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh has been implementing from December 2019. In accordance with Section 17 of the Advocates Act of 1961, the applicant must be included on the rolls of attorneys kept by the Andhra Pradesh State Bar Council. Only law graduates who earned their degrees in 2016 and after are eligible.

Eligibility For YSR Law Nestham:

  1. The applicant must reside in or have their legal residence in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
  2. The applicant must hold a law bachelor’s degree.A law graduate who graduated in 2016 or later qualifies as the applicant.
  3. According to Section 17 of the Advocates Act of 1961, the applicant’s name must be added to the rolls of attorneys kept by the Andhra Pradesh State Bar Council.
  4. Junior Advocates who began their careers but had not yet completed their first three (3) years of practice as of the date the Government Order was issued are qualified for a stipend for the remaining time.
  5. The Junior Advocate’s age as of the day the Government Order was issued cannot be more than 35.
  6. This program is known as “One Family, One Benefit” (where “Family” refers to the husband, wife, and their children).

Exclusions For YSR Law Nestham:

  1. The Junior Advocates who, as of the day the G.O. was issued, have completed their first three (3) years of practise are ineligible.
  2. The applicant is ineligible if he owns four-wheelers under his name.
  3. Non-practicing Advocates are ineligible.

Application Process:

1) Application:

Step 1: The applicant must properly upload the required certificates to the official website where they will register their application.
Step 2: By way of the Village Secretariat, Commissioner of Municipality, and Municipal Corporation, the Collector will send the applications to the Village/Ward volunteers.
Step 3: Following the application’s authenticity verification, the Municipal Commissioner in urban areas and the MPDO in rural areas will request permission from the Collector before uploading the application to the CFMS database portal. For social audit, the applications will be displayed in the Village/Ward Secretariat.

2) Method of Payment:

Step 1: The enter the information into the CFMS Portal. The Law Department will produce a single, consolidated Bill for all qualified, Collector-approved beneficiaries and submit it to the Treasury for approval and payment to the beneficiary’s bank account.
Step 2: After the money has been deposited into the beneficiary’s bank account, a village or ward volunteer will deliver the “payment receipt” and the Hon. Chief Minister’s message to the beneficiary at their door.

  8. An affidavit attested by his/her Senior Advocate with 15 years of standing of practice or Concerned Bar Association or by the presiding officer of such court, every six months, stating that he/she is still in active practice.
  9. Certificate of practice after clearing the Bar examination conducted by the Bar Council of India within two (2) years. (to be submitted after enrolment into the scheme)
  10. Undertaking that he/she will intimate online or to the registering authority, in case he/she leaves the Profession or otherwise he/she gainfully employed.

  • What Is The Maximum Amount Of Financial Assistance That One Can Receive Through This Scheme?

The beneficiary shall be eligible for a monthly stipend of an amount of ₹ 5,000/- for the first three years.
