Recruitment Details & Attendance Rate
This recruitment exam aimed to fill 6,433 vacancies, an increase from the originally announced 5,934 positions. Out of approximately 17 lakh registered candidates, about 10.5 lakh appeared for the exam, resulting in an attendance rate of 59.6%.
New Penalty System for Absentees
RSSB has introduced a penalty system for candidates who fail to appear for scheduled examinations:
- If a candidate misses two exams in a financial year, their application facility will be blocked.
- To unblock their application, the candidate must pay a penalty fee of Rs. 750.
- If they miss two more exams within the same financial year, they will be blocked again and must pay Rs. 1,500 to regain access.
